Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what Wave collects, how we use it, and how we protect it.
When you create an account, we store your email address, display name, bio, and avatar. We also store the album ratings, reviews, and social connections you create while using Wave. We do not currently collect data from any third-party music service.
Your data is used to power your profile, display your ratings and reviews, and populate the discover feed for users who follow you. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
We use Supabase for authentication and data storage. All data is protected by row-level security policies, meaning users can only access their own records. Passwords are never stored in plain text.
Wave offers sign-in with Google and Apple as a convenience. When you use these options, we receive only your email address and display name from the provider — we do not receive your contacts, calendar, files, or any other data from your Google or Apple account. We use this information solely to create and authenticate your Wave account.
Wave is built to support Spotify integration in the future. That integration is not currently active. When it is enabled, this policy will be updated to describe what Spotify data is accessed and how it is used.
You can update your profile information, delete your ratings, and remove your account entirely from your profile settings. Account deletion removes all your data from our database.
