What is WAVE?
WAVE is a music social network — think Letterboxd for music. Users rate albums on a 0–10 scale, share their ratings with friends, and discover new music through people they follow.
The core loop is simple: search for an album, rate it 0–10, optionally write a review, and it appears in your friends' feeds. No algorithms deciding what you should listen to. Just real recommendations from real people you know.
How it works
- Search: Find any album in our database. We use MusicBrainz for album data and cover art.
- Rate: Give it a score from 0–10. Your rating is recorded instantly.
- Review (optional): Write a brief review to explain your rating.
- Share: Your rating and review appear in your followers' feeds so they can see what you're into.
- Discover: See what your friends are rating and reading, and find new music that way.
